As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering bilateral trade, the Spanish-Turkish Chamber of Commerce held a productive meeting with the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) on May 22, 2025. Hosted at BTSO headquarters and joined by the President of the Assembly, Mr. Ali Uğur, the session highlighted the vast industrial and innovation potential of Bursa, one of Türkiye’s leading economic centers.

During the meeting, both institutions explored concrete opportunities for collaboration. Among them, the organization of procurement delegations, B2B events, and international trade fair visits stood out as strategic tools to deepen commercial connections between Spain and Türkiye.

The Chamber is currently reviewing a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will serve as the foundation for future joint activities. These include facilitating the participation of Spanish companies in BTSO-hosted sectoral fairs and inbound delegations in Bursa, with travel and accommodation support provided by Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade.

BTSO 3This initiative also opens the door for sector-specific events in Spain, reciprocal delegation visits, and knowledge-sharing formats, such as best practice and technical visits to key institutions.

We look forward to advancing this promising partnership and enhancing business opportunities for our members across both markets.
